Rose’s metal is one of the old fusible alloys: water just off the boil is enough to melt these pellets. It is a leaded alloy, so keep it out of the kitchen and wash up after casting. Nominal composition by weight: Bi 50%, Pb 32%, Sn 18%. Melting range: roughly 93 to 96 °C.
