How orders are packed
Orders are packed by hand. Each item is weighed against the listed amount and heat-sealed in a bag before it goes in the box. You will receive an order confirmation by email after checkout. We aim to hand orders to the carrier within [[OWNER: confirm handling time, e.g. 2 to 3 business days]].
Shipping within the US
- Standard shipping is a flat $12 per order.
- Orders over $150 ship free.
- The cart shows an estimated total, and the final shipping charge is shown at checkout before you pay.
- Orders ship from Kentucky. Delivery time depends on the carrier and your location.
International orders
Checkout currently accepts shipping addresses in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, and France. Shipping charges are shown at checkout, and delivery times vary by destination.
Any customs duties, import taxes, or brokerage fees are your responsibility. Some countries restrict the import of certain metals, so please check your local rules before ordering. If your country is not offered at checkout, email us and we will tell you whether we can ship there.
Damaged, lost, or incorrect orders
If your order arrives damaged, is missing something, or contains the wrong item, email support@periodictech.com with your order number and photos of what you received. Do the same if a package never arrives. We will replace the item or refund you.
Returns
- You may return an item within [[OWNER: confirm return window in days, e.g. 30 days]] of delivery.
- The item must be unopened, with the heat seal intact. Because these are specimens sold by weight, opened or used items generally cannot be returned. If you have a problem with an opened item, email us anyway and we will see what we can do.
- To start a return, email support@periodictech.com with your order number. We will confirm the return and give you the return address. Please do not ship anything back before we confirm.
- Return shipping is at your cost unless the return is due to our mistake. [[OWNER: confirm restocking fee, if any]]
- Once the item arrives back and we have checked it, we refund the item price to your original payment method. Refunds through Stripe usually appear on your statement within a few business days.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel, email us as soon as possible with your order number. If the order has not shipped yet, we will cancel and refund it in full. If it has already shipped, the returns process above applies.
